What is CBD & Where does it come from?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a botanical compound primarily found in the leaves and flowers of a the hemp plant and is derived from the cannabis plant which contains roughly 113 identified chemical compounds known as cannabinoids. The most popular cannabinoids are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). THC is the compound that gives cannabis its psychoactive “high” or sense of euphoria when consumed. While CBD accounts for up to 40% of the plants extract, it is considered non-psychoactive.
